외경(the Apocrypha) 중 솔로몬의 지혜서(the Wisdom of Solomon) 및 에스드라후서(2 Esdras)에서도 인생의 죽음이 아담의 범죄가 원인임을 명시하고 있다(1)

In both 2 Esdras and The Wisdom of Solomon we read that death came upon all men through Adam's sin(에스드라후서와 솔로몬 지혜서 둘 다 모든 인류에게 죽음이 온 것은 아담의 범죄 때문이라고 적혀 있다). 출처: https://www.biblestudytools.com/encyclopedias/isbe/adam-in-the-old-testament-and-the-apocrypha.html   이 글에서 소개자의 말투가 "we read that ..."("...라고 적혀 있다") 식이니 아담의 죽음이 "영적인 것"이라는 고집스러운 관념이 아주 머리에 박혀 요동을 못하고 있다. 요한 웨슬레도 인생의 죽음이 아담의 범죄 때문이라는 말을 하면서도 이 고질화된 병폐를 깨뜨리기 싫어 동시에 말하기를 "영적인 요소도 있다" 식으로 나가니, 우리 몸이 성령께서 계신 하나님의 성전이라고 말했다가 동시에 예배당 건물도 "하나님의 성전"이라 말하는 것과 같다. 듣는 사람들이 확실한 성경 지식이 없으면 어느 쪽으로 기울어지겠는가. 요한 웨슬레가 그런 말을 했다고 대단한 것이 아니라 누구나 초등생이라도 아무 편견 없이 성경을 읽으면 그렇게 결론되어질 일이다. 그만큼 사탄에게 세뇌 당한 것이 뿌리 깊다는 의미이다. 그러나 이런 문제도 사탄이 범죄로 죽은 아담 대신 또는 아담 스스로가 저지른 짓에 의해 이 세상을 지배하고 있음을 알면 간단히 이해할 수 있는데도 이마저도 믿지를 않으니 우왕좌왕일 수밖에 없다.  

§ 솔로몬의 지혜서(2:23,24)에는 아래와 같이 기술되어 있다

"하나님께서 우리를 창조하실 때 당신께서 영원하신 것처럼 영원히 살게 즉 죽도록 하시지 않았다. 그러나 세상에 죽음이 임한 것은 마귀의 시기심 때문인 것이다"

※ 마귀가 아담을  시기하여 아담을 꾀어 죽게 만듦으로써 죽음이 왔음을 의미하는 것.  

※ "마귀가 꾀어서 죽게(아담이) 만들었다" 하지 않고 

"마귀의 시기 때문"이라고 한 점에 특별히 눈이 가는 것이다.

§ 에스드라후서(3장 4~7, 10절)는 아래와 같은 내용이다

흙으로 사람을 지으신 다음에는 땅이 형성되기 전에 조성하셨던 에덴으로 인도하시고 계명을 하나 주셨는데(선악과를 먹지 말라는) 이를

지키지 않자 즉시 그와 그 후대들을 죽음에 처하셨다..... 아담에게 내리신 것과 같이 범죄한 자들 모두에게 죽음과 파멸을 내리셨다. 

※ 창세기에 에덴 동산을 창설하셨다고 되어 있는데 위 대목에서 지적하는 것과 같이 

<이미 존재하고 있는> 에덴의 동편에다 아담을 위해 따로 동산을 만드셨다는 의미. 

※ 노아 홍수 때 범죄자들에게 죽음을 내리신 것은 아담에게 죽음을 내리신 것과 같이 

되었다고 명백히 했으니 아담의 죽음이 범죄로 된 것임을 확인해주는 것.

이렇게 정경이나 외경이나 아담의 죽음의 성격(썩는 것, "영적"이 아닌)을 명시하

고 있음에도 마귀는 감쪽같이 지금까지 속여 온 것을 보면 자연계 육체의 상대적

 허약성을 통감하게 된다. 멀쩡하게 세워놓고 코 베어가도 속수무책인 것이다 (이

 외경은 70인역(the Septuagint)에서는 정경으로서 주 예수님 오시기 전후해 사

용되어졌던 것이나 그 후 이 "70인 역"은 용도 폐기인 양 별 볼일 없이 되고 성경

이 현재처럼 66권으로 확정될 때에는 외경으로 아주 밀려났다. 외경이 푸대접 받

는다고 해서 우리의 믿음에 미치는 영향은 없다. 심지어 마리아 승천 따위까지 말

하는 위경(僞經, Pseudographia)이 아닌 다음에야 외경을 읽는다고 해서 그렇

게 심각한 폐해를 주는 것도 없다.  그렇다고 외경을 정경에 포함시키자는 주장은

 더더욱 아니다. 외경이 아니더라도 정경만으로 충분히 우리는 하나님의 뜻을 배

우고 있는 터이다. 다만 여기서 이러한 외경 구절들을 소개하는 것은 정경에서 가

르치는 바 아담의 범죄로 인생의 죽음이 유래되었다는 여러 대목과 내용과 일치

하기 때문이다. 다시 말해 이 사실을 강조하는 의미에서 우리는 외경의 위상을 재

고해보는 것뿐이다.
